Nadia Aghili was born in Gorgan, Iran in 1994. She received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Golestan University (GU), Gorgan, Iran, in 2017, and the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering- from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2021. She was a Research Assistant at the Iran Neural Technology Research Centre (INTRC) from 2017 to 2021. Her research interests include brain-computer interface, machine learning, optimization, neural engineering, Riemannian geometry, deep neural network, and biomedical signal processing.
Ms. Aghili achieved the First rank among 83 teams in the 4th Iranian BCI competition, conducted in the 5th Iranian Symposium on Brain Mapping Updates on July 14th. The competition will be conducted on the registered data in a spelling system, in two stages. In the first stage, the participants will be provided with some labeled data. The data have been recorded from different people. Such data are used to train model parameters. Unlabeled data will then be provided to participants to evaluate the methods. The participants will announce evaluation data labels and based on the accuracy and precision results, the selected teams will be invited to in person (face-to-face) competition (second stage). In the face-to-face stage, a number of unlabeled data will be provided to the participants, in which both the accuracy and the rate of information transfer may affect the final result.
The detail of the competition cab be found in this link https://lnkd.in/gpYUVZT.
